East Ridge Economic Development And Community Relations Coordinator “Greatly Offends” Catholic Community

According to our source, Cameron McAllister, Economic Development and Community Relations Coordinator for the city of East Ridge has “greatly offended” members of the Catholic Community by posting an image of himself in drag as a nun along with the caption associated with the photo.
Although McAllister’s Instagram account is private, our source provided the screen capture shown below with McAllister (right) dressed in a “provocative form of a Catholic Nun’s habit.”
“ I suppose the implication would be that bishops and nuns are sexually active. A nun is a woman who vows to dedicate her life to religious service, typically living under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience in the enclosure of a monastery or convent,” our source says.
The caption with the photo on McAllister’s Instagram photo says, “Thots and prayers.”
According to several sources including dictionary.com, a “thot” is slang for a “slut” or a “whore”.
“It seems that Mr. McCallister has no problem offending people of the Catholic faith with his disrespectful activity. I do not think this attack on our religion is a proper move by someone who is in the position of ‘Community Relations’,” our source says.
Our source goes on to state, “In this world of ‘woke’ we are constantly reminded that certain things are off limits. I’m sure that if Mr. McCallister would have worn ‘black face’ he would have been severely reprimanded or at the very least, fired from his Community Relations job. I think we should hold everyone to the same standard. This activity is unacceptable. Cameron should have better judgment in what is and isn’t offensive since part of his job is Community Relations.”
The person he is pictured with is unknown but our source says that he hopes the man doesn’t also work for the city of East Ridge, TN.
This is completely unnecessary. This is bashing and completely taken out of context. Screams discrimination.
This article is completely out of line. Leave it to these reporters to post drama about a PRIVATE Instagram post. This is a Halloween costume for goodness sake’s! How about we blast the name of the person who was the “source” of this article? You were brave enough to go to the media about this, so why not include your name, cowards!
