Tennessee House Committees Pass Bills To Limit Driver’s Licenses To English Speakers & That Mandate Police Must Honor Federal Immigration Detainers

On March 10th, Two Committees In The Tennessee House Approved 2 Separate Bills – One That Aims To Increase Application Requirements For Those Who Seek To Gain A Driver’s License Who Cannot Speak & Read English Sufficiently & Another That Requires A Memorandum Of Understanding Between Law Enforcement & Federal Officials Concerning Enforcement Of Federal Immigration Laws.
