Eleven people have been arrested in Montgomery and Sumner counties after an investigation into election fraud.

In January, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating after receiving a report that 15 convicted felons had been permitted to vote in Sumner County elections between 2020 and 2022.

According to TBI officials, four of the individuals had passed away before the investigation began. The other 11 suspects were found to have registered to vote in Sumner County after they had been convicted on a felony charge.

It is illegal for a felon to vote in the state of Tennessee unless the individual has undergone a process that the legislature established to restore voting rights.

Ironically, committing voter fraud in the state of Tennessee is itself a felony.

At the time of voting, all of the suspects had signed forms that stated that they had not been convicted of any felonies.

There was no information provided regarding which elections each suspect had participated in or who they voted for. There was no motive given for the alleged fraudulent voting.

Each of the 11 suspects was charged with one count of Illegal Registration or Voting and one count of False Entries on Official Registration or Election Documents. Those indictments were returned by a Sumner County Grand Jury on May 10.

The TBI, along with the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, made the arrests. The following individuals were booked into the Sumner County Jail with a $5000 bond:

  • Gregory Blackmon, 62, of Clarksville
  • Antione Bridges, 45, of Cottontown
  • Bradley Crowell, 32, of Hendersonville
  • Jerry Dodd, 49, of Portland
  • Terry Ewin, 58, of Gallatin
  • Shannon Holt, Sr., 55, of Gallatin
  • James McGee, 59, of Hendersonville
  • Rita Poindexter, 64, of Gallatin
  • Larry Russell, Sr.. 69, of Gallatin
  • Ladasha Warfield, 36, of Gallatin
  • Bobby Williams, 62, of Portland

  1. I expect more of the same all over the US. We will be having illegal aliens voting in this election, too. Nothing we do will stop it. It’s all part of the plan for the Democrats to cheat their way back into the White House. I’ve washed my hands of the whole voting business. I’ve voted all my life, but now I’m done. It’s all a big FRAUD.

    1. Your just as much of the problem as they are, don’t vote means they definitely win, voting is not only a privilege but a responsibility.

    2. Patricia, just what the heck does that solve? So, you don’t like what is going on so you pack up your toys and go home? This is the most important election of our lives and you are gonna sit it out? How about the thought process of, “Beat the Cheat by out voting the hell outta them?” Don’t be part of the problem!

  2. Curious about who provided the TBI with the “report” of voter fraud, but the activity of the source who provided the report should be encouraged.
Too bad about Patricia Law’s comment about not voting. Her action will result in a swing vote of two (one less for the Republicans and one more for the Dems. A non-vote is a vote for the other side who’s advocates always vote…often multiple times!
