Showers and thunderstorms will be widespread across the state today. Some of the rainfall could be heavy. A flash flood watch is in place for southern portions of Middle and East Tennessee, including the Chattanooga area. A few storms could be severe today, as well, especially across West and Middle Tennessee.
Showers and thunderstorms continue into the night. Once again, some of the storms could be strong and some of the rainfall could be heavy.
The wet pattern continues on Thursday, with more scattered showers and thunderstorms across the state. Rain chances should taper off from west to east during the day, with the greatest rain chances throughout the day being found across eastern middle Tennessee and all of East Tennessee.
