Tennessee Conservative News [By David Seal] –

Tracey Smith, Chair of Knox for Liberty (KFL), has been on a mission for several years to inform voters and to promote constitutionally minded candidates for public office. Her latest effort in this quest is a town hall meeting scheduled for July 13, 2026, details below.

Smith has worked tirelessly to promote constitutional conservatives for office through her efforts with Knox for Liberty and the Tennessee Constitutional Grassroots Coalition (TCGC). Her activism is recognized statewide with TCGC having over 24,000 followers and 28 county members.

The town hall meeting will feature KFL’s recommended candidates, including Gubernatorial Candidate Monty Fritts.

Smith provided The Tennessee Conservative News with an exclusive interview for this report and offered the following comments about the event.

“This year’s Town Hall will have a bit of a different format from our previous year’s event, with candidates taking the stage individually to talk about the motivation behind their decision to run for office and then answer a few questions from the audience. Due to time constraints and the number of participating candidates, we invited only the recommended candidates from our voter guide.  There are currently 9 candidates confirmed with potential for more. Plus, our featured speaker is Gubernatorial Candidate Monty Fritts! This is an incredible opportunity for the Knox County conservative voter to hear and interact with all of these candidates in a single event. We have critical races on the ballot, and it is imperative that we research and know more about each of the candidates before voting begins on July 17th.  Knox County Conservative Voters have been burned too many times by those who say all the right things until they are elected. That’s why events like this Town Hall are so important and an easy way for voters to be educated instead of just choosing the recognized name or just blindly selecting a candidate.” – said Tracey Smith, Chair, Knox for Liberty
