Tennessee Conservative News [By Paula Gomes] –
The recent August 6th primary and general elections saw Democrats flip school board and county commission seats across Tennessee.
In Anderson County, Democrats flipped two seats, doubling representation on the county commission.

In Hamilton County, Democrats flipped two seats on the county commission and one seat on the school board.
In District 8’s county commission race, Republican incumbent Mike Chauncey received 45 percent of the vote to Democrat Joshua Wichman who walked away with 55 percent.
In District 11, Republican incumbent Joe Graham suffered a similar defeat, receiving 44 percent of the vote to Democrat Montrell Besley’s 56 percent.
In the school board race, Democrat Katie Perkins won the District 8 seat from which Republican Larry Grohn is retiring. Perkins received 58 percent of the vote compared to her opponent’s 42 percent.
Thursday night’s election results also showed a close race between Republican incumbent County Mayor Weston Wamp, elected in 2022, and Democratic challenger Mark Herndon who ultimately lost by a margin of about 3,000 votes. Wamp ultimately walked away a winner with 52.5 percent of the vote with 33,840 votes. In contrast, 30,665 voters cast a ballot for Herndon.
In Montgomery County, Democrats have gained control of the county commission, having flipped four seats. Once evenly split among Democrats, Independents, and Republicans, the 21-member commission’s makeup is now 11 Democrats, 7 Republicans, and 3 Independents.
While Republicans flipped two seats from Independent candidates, Democrats also flipped two seats from independents, and two from GOP held seats.
The Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board also lost one Republican seat. Four of the seven seats were on the ballot and Democrats won three which changes what had been a 5-2 Republican to Democrat board to now 4 to 3 Republicans to Democrats.
In Knox County, control of the school board was flipped to a 5-4 Democrat majority. Since 2022 when school board races became partisan, the board of education has been led by Republicans.
Republican candidate Bill Sofield lost to Democrat Brandy Jenkins in the District 9 race and will take the place of Republican school board chair Kristi Kristy who lost to GOP primary challenger Sofield in May.
The Knox County Commission also lost a Republican seat to Democrats.
Of note, while Republican Betsy Henderson won the Knox County Mayor’s race, it was only by 5 points, like Wamp in Hamilton County, down from a 55 percent Republican win just four years ago, and a whopping 66 percent since 2018.

In Rutherford County, Democrats gained a school board seat and now make up approximately a third of county commission, ending a GOP supermajority.
In Sumner County, Democrats won a county commission race in a county where no Democrat has occupied a seat on the commission in 20 years.
Washington County saw 3 county commission seats go to Democrats with a fourth seat ending in a tie.
The outcome of the race for the District 13 seat between Republican incumbent Kenneth Huffine and Democrat Cindy Humphrey will either be resolved through a runoff election, or the current county commission could have the final say.
Local Democrats are calling for a runoff election.
In wealthy Williamson County, Democrats also flipped a county commission seat and a seat on the school board.
And in Wilson County, Democrats flipped two county commission seats, where all were previously held by Republicans.

Christians and gun-owners DO NOT VOTE!
The churches and their “leadership” refuse to talk to their sheep about the importance of getting involved in voting, government, abortion, islamic invasion, fraud and everything God says we are responsible for. God created the world and the government with Jesus at the head. That does not mean Jesus is going to take care of the voting and responsibility that God assigned to us. Yes, it is in the Bible, but most of the churches who are refusing to get involved are not teaching God’s Word: they are bit and piece “teaching” so they don’t “offend” weak-kneed, luke-warm Christians, and endanger their tithe income. Shame on these church leaders. There is a huge problem in the churches, so God is raising up His Ekklesia but we cannot vote for the lazy, ignorant, weak-kneed. God gives us free will, he also can’t make his children do the right thing: those who refuse will reap the “benefits” of their choices and inaction(s).
Exactly, the evangelical block is the lowest voting block in the U.S., so says MANY including Allen West https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_West_(politician) . Complacent conservatives.
Because of laziness and stupidity, we’re losing our Republic.
Republicans just don’t get off their fat asses and vote in midterm elections. They sit back and say to themselves, “This is one of the reddest states in the country, it’ll never go blue.” Yeah, it sure will go blue if you don’t vote. WAKE UP! The dems are out in force because they’re pissed off about the redistricting. If we don’t counter that, this November, we may just become a blue state. If so, one of those U-Hauls will be mine! And by the way, I’m a gun owner and I vote in every single election. They all better wake up.
If every county wants to look like Memphis and Nashville with high taxes, Sh*t schools, violence, lock downs and a Liberal Fascist county, then keep staying at home. I get we are waiting for the return of Christ, but in the interim we have to keep these demons at bay. One of the early replies of,” don’t think because we are Red now doesn’t mean we can’t go blue.” With all the come heres moving to TN they will bring the insanity that they fled from and track their SH*T across our state.
They have a disease mind and it does spread especially in our public schools. Look at California, Washington, Illinois, New York. I remember when I was a kid the song, ” Onward Christian Soldiers” Marching onto war. We are at war and if you think sticking your head in the sand, that they can’t get you, think again. You are the prime target.
WAKE UP, be the voice of God, right the wrongs- they are coming for your children and your grandchildren. ” The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, Rules The World.” William Ross Wallace.
Once Memphis, Nashville area, Knoxville, and Chattanooga are able to get just one more vote than the rest of the state…they will dictate the state turning Blue.
With states being changed one by one, soon, there will be nowhere to go.
Lots of great points made in the posts above. Our old church pastor, located in New Jersey, is not only vocal about not voting but actually getting involved.
Just remember when it comes to guns, the Left screams about banning them because “it’s for the kids!” However, when it comes to porn and sexualizing them, have at it. Kids are just political pawns for the left.
One of the Knoxville news stations interviewed a newly elected Democrat school board member for Knox county. It’s all about control.
