The Tennessee Conservative [By David Seal] –
Erik Wiatr has a grassroots army of conservative activists that impact political races and public policy issues across Tennessee, especially in Knoxville and surrounding areas.
His group is called Knox Liberty Organization, which has sponsored the annual Bill of Rights Dinner for the past 5 years. In the beginning, Wiatr and many others concentrated on reforming civil asset forfeiture, the property taking scheme that most true conservatives consider unconstitutional. That issue remains a work-in-progress with certain reforms already accomplished.

For background, the Knox Liberty Organization has accomplished the following.
- Crushed the 2025 Knoxville sales-tax hike
- Elected the first conservative Knoxville City Council member in over a decade (first GOP pickup of a Democrat seat in Knox since 2018)
- Defeated the rigged “at-large” voting referendum and restored district power
- Passed civil asset forfeiture reform legislation
- Built a permanent grassroots army that knocks on doors, phone banks, texts, puts out signs, and watches government meetings (KCCRTN.org)
“If you believe Tennessee is worth fighting for—if you’re tired of watching Nashville and Washington Republicans cave on immigration, guns, parental rights, and higher education-indoctrination—then you need to be in the room on Thursday, December 18 at the 5th Bill of Rights Dinner in Knoxville. This is not just a Knox County fundraiser.
This is where the real conservatives will gather and network to take the fight statewide in 2026—including backing fighters like State Representative Monty Fritts, who has already announced he is running for the Republican nomination for Governor.” – said Erik Wiatr, Knox Liberty Organization
