Press Release –

Conservative businessman, veteran and community leader Bob Ravener has announced his campaign for Tennessee’s 61st House District.

Speaking about his candidacy, Ravener said: “I love my family, our life in Williamson County and the people of the great state of Tennessee. I am running because I care deeply for the families in our community and the issues that are most important to all of us who live here.

Throughout my life, I have committed myself to serving others. From my time in the military, throughout my professional career and my extensive volunteer work in the community, my focus has been to be there for others and improve the quality of life of those around me. Now, I’m asking my neighbors in House District 61 to send me to represent them in the General Assembly.”

Ravener graduated from the United States Naval Academy where he lettered in baseball and served as the president of his class. He served our nation with honor and distinction on active duty in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer for almost six years before entering the business world. Bob continued his trail of success, achievement, innovation and leadership in the private sector at iconic Fortune 500 companies PepsiCo, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Dollar General.

“As a fourteen year Williamson County resident, having lived in both Brentwood and Franklin, I am personally invested and committed to the long term success of our community,” Ravener continued. “Having never run for office, my experiences across the public, private, and non-profit sectors have helped me keep a pulse on our community and given me a unique vantage point to ensure our county thrives long into the future. I look forward to earning the District 61 voters’ trust to take my conservative values, fiscal responsibility, and passion to the Tennessee Capitol.”

Bob Ravener lives in Franklin with Lisa, his wife of almost forty years. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. His website may be viewed HERE.

  1. He is running against another self-proclaimed conservative Gino Bulso. Both are No Record Candidates but that’s OK for state representative. However, I want to make sure I am voting for a conservative stalwart so what I’d like to see is a record of political contribution both candidates have made over the past 10 years. That will tell me all I need to know about both candidates.
