A Clarksville man who was previously indicted for raping multiple women has now been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of robbery and felony weapon possession.

The U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, Henry C. Leventis, announced that 45-year-old Kenneth Moore was facing additional charges after allegedly robbing three Clarksville women while waving a handgun. The handgun landed him charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to records from the Montgomery County Criminal Court, Moore was charged with aggravated rape in both 2023 and 2024.

The Clarksville Police Department’s Special Victims Unit arrested Moore on February 29.

Court documents state that three separate incidents occurred between October 2023 and February 2024 in which Moore allegedly robbed, raped, beat, and “pistol whipped” three women after he set up dates with them. All three women had to be treated at a local hospital.

Moore’s indictment was handed down on the federal charges on July 17, and his first court appearance was on August 16. He was placed in jail on a $180,000 bond.

The rape case against Moore in Montgomery County remains open. His arraignment was held on July 8, and he is scheduled to return to court on September 29.

The list of charges against Moore totals eight different counts:

• Two counts of aggravated rape

• Three counts of aggravated robbery

• Three counts of firearm possession as a felon

A conviction on the federal weapons charges would mandate that Moore serve at least seven year or up to life in prison, while he could get another 20 years for the robberies and up to 15 years for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

If the courts decide that Moore should be classified as an armed career criminal, he could be given another 15 years to life.
