The Tennessee Conservative [By Paula Gomes] –
Germantown school board candidate, Carrie Schween, confirmed last week that she was assaulted while campaigning in Germantown’s Poplar Estates neighborhood at the end of September.
Schween was knocking on doors in the neighborhood at the time of the attack, and a note was also left on her vehicle. The note read, “Not supporting an idiot Trumper like you. Hope you lose. You’re what’s wrong with this country.”
“I am running for Germantown School Board because I care about students, parents, and teachers in the Germantown Municipal School District. I am just a mom of three and never thought I would run for office, but I felt called to step up and represent parents’ voices on the School Board,” Schween stated in a press release after the attack. “What occurred is unfortunate and wrong, but I am motivated to share my platform and my heart for this community’s school district with the people of Germantown,” she said. “This is a parent-led, grassroots campaign. I have lived here all of my life, and a little intimidation will not keep me from fighting for my community’s school system!”
Schween, who graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in political science, and later obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from Union University, is an unapologetic advocate for classical education. She does not favor the social emotional learning programs that Germantown’s current school board supports.
Her platform states that “placing a higher importance on teaching students how to think instead of what to think and protecting students from ideological discrimination” is the way forward in preparing students to be “the leaders of tomorrow.”
Promising full transparency for parents when it comes to the education of their children, Schween plans to hold routine town hall meetings to keep parents in the loop if elected.
Schween filed a report with the Germantown Police department after the assault. Her campaign is issuing no further details at this time while the investigation is pending.

It’s ironic that the left is always saying the right are extremists and violent. As usual they do what they accuse us of doing, except we aren’t the violent ones. Hypocrites! It’s their way or no way. The sheeples must follow their handlers. They can’t think for themselves. Must be led every step of the way and everyday. The Constitution is a very bad document to them. It gives people too much freedom. When sheeples don’t have any morals anything goes. Just saying.
In God we trust not government or man.
Have a blessed day.
Totally ridiculous l! This shows what a crap hole Memphis us become!
I pray she WINS !!!!
