East Tennessee Freedom Hosts Gary Humble for Senate Event in Johnson City Grassroots Group Endorses Humble’s Campaign to Restore Statesmanship and Conservative Leadership in Tennessee
Johnson City, TN – October 27, 2025 — East Tennessee Freedom is proud to announce that it will host Gary Humble, candidate for Tennessee State Senate District 27 and Executive Director of Tennessee Stands, for a special grassroots event on Tuesday, November 4th at 6:00 p.m. at University Parkway Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tennessee.
The event will give East Tennesseans an opportunity to meet Gary in person, learn more about his campaign, and join the movement to restore citizen-led government in Tennessee. Guests are invited to attend, volunteer, and contribute to support the campaign’s efforts financially.
“We are elated to bring Gary Humble, candidate for Tennessee Senate and leader in liberty, to East Tennessee,” said Dr. Denise Sibley, Chair of East Tennessee Freedom in a statement. “Early on in COVID, Gary Humble was a brave voice speaking out against mandates and lockdowns. He was teaching people about the Constitution and God-given rights during a time when we were being told we couldn’t go to work, go to church, or move about freely. East Tennessee Freedom, along with other liberty-minded grassroots organizations, banded together with Tennessee Stands to advocate for our rights. This year, we lost a statesman and fearless leader in the Senate with the passing of Senator Frank Nicely. Gary will be a leader and a statesman. He has a Godly and moral perspective on legislative issues that is hard to find elsewhere. We humbly endorse Gary Humble for Senate, and we’d love to have you meet him.”
About Gary Humble
Gary Humble serves as the Executive Director of Tennessee Stands, one of the state’s most effective conservative advocacy organizations. Under his leadership, Tennessee Stands has mobilized thousands of citizens to defend individual liberties, hold government accountable, and advance constitutional principles.
In the 2022 Republican primary for State Senate District 27, Humble nearly unseated Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson, losing by just 786 votes out of more than 24,000 cast — the narrowest margin of Johnson’s 20-year career.
Now, Humble is mounting a rematch campaign to represent the people of Williamson County and beyond, pledging to bring accountability, integrity, and citizen representation back to the Tennessee Senate. A grassroots win with Gary Humble in Senate District 27 shakes up the current leadership structure of our General Assembly.
“Career politicians make promises every election cycle, then forget the people they are supposed to serve,” said Humble. “I’ve spent the last five years holding politicians accountable. Now I’m asking voters to send me to Nashville to do the job that politicians refuse to do.”
Humble’s campaign arrives at a defining moment for Tennessee. Despite overwhelming Republican majorities in Nashville, many foundational conservative priorities have stalled, while the grip of special interests continues to tighten.
“We’ve watched out-of-state PAC money pour into our elections, drowning out the voices of everyday Tennesseans,” said Humble. “With Republican supermajorities, there’s no excuse for our values or conservative priorities to be ignored. Yet Jack Johnson and the political establishment continue to cave to lobbyist pressure while turning their backs on the people. That ends now.”
Humble’s platform speaks directly to the growing frustration among grassroots conservatives— citizens who are demanding integrity, courage, and real representation in state government.
