U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is looking into the possibility of opening a National Call Center in Nashville.

A report obtained by Reuters states that a contract document was obtained that details potential plans for the center, which would assist law enforcement officials with locating unaccompanied children who are not in the country legally.

The center would be designed to handle an anticipated 6,000 to 7,000 calls per day. Noting an “immediate need,” ICE says the center could be operating by June 2026.

This news comes as federal and state officials also announced indictments against thirty-eight individuals on a variety of federal charges including drug trafficking (cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine), attack on law enforcement officials, federal firearms violations, immigration offenses, and more.

Eight of those arrested are known member or associates of MS-13, a particularly violent gang. Several of those charged with drug trafficking and firearms offenses were found to be in the country illegally.

As they announced those indictments, acting U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee Robert McGuire also announced the new Homeland Security Task Force in Nashville. Agencies such as Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, and the ATF will work with local law enforcement agencies.

According to McGuire, the Homeland Security Task Force will be working towards improved safety related to illegal drugs, transnational criminal organizations, drug cartels, and gang violence.

  1. A TN call center is needed! Walmarts and Sam’s (Chattanooga) are thick with illegals yet ICE is nowhere to be found and local law enforcement turns a blind eye in all counties. Calling the national # is useless.
