The mother of the Antioch school shooter surrendered to Metro Nashville police on Tuesday, after a warrant had been issued for her.

40-year-old Chrysta Thomas, who has relocated to Las Vegas since the shooting, declined an interview with police. She was charged with unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon and was booked with a $5000 bond.
Thomas’ son, 17-year-old Solomon Henderson, opened fire at Antioch High School in January 2025, killing one student and injuring another before turning the gun on himself.

Lab results returned from the 2025 shooting show that Thomas’ DNA was found on the pistol used by Henderson.
According to police, Thomas has a prior felony conviction from 2010 in Los Angeles for possession of a stolen vehicle.
