A Shelby County man has been charged with sexual battery for the fourth time in fifteen months.
22-year-old Kylan Brown was accused of walking up behind a woman in a Cordova Dollar General Store and grabbing her backside. This is the fourth time he has been accused of similar behavior.
Brown’s first charge came in April 2024.
According to court records, he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in that initial case. He was charged two more times, in September 2024 and March 2025. Those cases are still open.
In Monday’s incident, witnesses report that Brown was aggressive when he grabbed the woman, who then ran from him. She called her stepfather, who arrived at the store to confront Brown, only to find that Brown had exited the back of the building.
In each case, Brown has bonded out, and he has shown up for all court appearances, allowing him to remain free to commit repeated offenses.
He was placed on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry after his initial offense.
A violation of probation charge was dismissed in December 2024.
