The "Uniparty" Is Alive And Well In Small Town Tennessee

The “Uniparty” Is Alive And Well In Small Town Tennessee

In Conservative East Tennessee, The Deeply-Religious Heart Of The Bible Belt, One Would Expect That Respectable Society Would Steer Clear Of Left-Wing Homosexual Drug Addicts Who Disdain The Community’s Values. No Wonder Blount County Residents Feel That Their Local Government Is Adrift. It Is Well Past Time For Candidates And Officials Professing To Be Republican To Start Acting Like It.

'The Swamp' Is Everywhere - Even In Republican Tennessee

‘The Swamp’ Is Everywhere – Even In Republican Tennessee

Conservatives Are Flocking To Tennessee As Political Refugees From Blue States. The Tennessee Republican Party Should Be Embracing These New Voters With Gusto But Instead Treats Them As Pariahs. Political Parties Exist To Serve Voters, Not Vice Versa. So Why Does The TRP, In One Of The Nation’s Most Conservative States, Restrict Participation In Internal Governance Of The State Party And Tennessee’s 95 County GOP Organizations, And Eligibility To Run As A Republican Candidate, To An Infinitesimal Percentage Of The Nearly 2 Million Tennessee Patriots Who Identify As Republican?

Tennessee’s Triumph

Tennessee’s Triumph (Op-Ed)

The Fascinating History Of The Manhattan Project Is Preserved Throughout Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Most Prominently On The Secret City Commemorative Walk In The City’s A.K. Bissell Park. Several Excellent Museums Showcase The City’s Unique Heritage. My Favorite Is The Oak Ridge History Museum, Focusing On The “Human Side” Of The Manhattan Project.
Oak Ridge Truly Represents Tennessee’s Triumph.

Our Fractious Discourse (Op-Ed)

Name-Calling And Spirited Disagreement Is Nothing New In America. Our Discourse Has Always Been Fractious. In A Democracy In Which Citizens Enjoy Freedom Of Expression, Passionate Differences Of Opinion Are Inevitable—Healthy, Even.

My Exile From “Bona Fide” GOP Status

My Exile From “Bona Fide” GOP Status (Op-Ed)

Based On Behind-The-Scenes Machinations By The Local Political Establishment, The TRP Nullified My Election In A Farcical Show Trial And Subsequently Appointed A Crony To Fill My Seat. The Basis For My Nullification Was That I – A Lifelong GOP Voter And Activist–Am Purportedly Not A “Bona Fide” Republican. I Was Exiled. Invalidated As A Republican. Banished To Persona Non Grata Status. But I Continue To Receive Fundraising Solicitations From The TRP!

Proving My Point: The East Tennessee Rainbow Mafia Responds

Proving My Point: The East Tennessee Rainbow Mafia Responds (Op-Ed)

In A Recent Post, Entitled East Tennessee’s Rainbow Mafia, I Commented On The LGBTQ Community’s Tendency To Vilify Critics Of “All Ages” Drag Shows. My Point Was, “Churches Opposed To ‘All Ages’ Drag Shows And Conservatives Who Express Criticism Of The LGBTQ Agenda Are Targeted For Hateful Responses–And Even Retaliation–By The Bullies Posing As ‘Victims.’ It Is Time To Expose The Double Standard And Regard The LGBTQ Extremists For What They Are–A Rainbow Mafia.”
Within Days Of My Post, The Rainbow Mafia (Through One Of The Board Members Of The Nonprofit In Question, Who Also Serves As The Organization’s “Secretary And Administrative Coordinator), Began Attacking Me Personally On Social Media As “Heartless, Cold, And Hateful.” Oh My. This Is LGBTQ’s Version Of “Tolerance” And “Inclusion.”

East Tennessee's Rainbow Mafia (Op-Ed)

East Tennessee’s Rainbow Mafia (Op-Ed)

The LGBTQ Community Likes To Portray Itself As The Powerless Victim Of Oppression By An Intolerant Society, But In Reality It Is An Aggressive—Even Militant—Challenger Of The Judeo-Christian Morality That Has Long Characterized Predominantly-Religious East Tennessee.
