WHAT: A public hearing to offer comments on Tennessee’s Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) application has been scheduled for August 19, 2022. The SSBG plan can be found on the DHS website.

SSBG is 100 percent federally funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program is available in all 95 Tennessee counties and administered through contracts with a network of nonprofit and government agencies provides funding for eligible citizens for various programs, including adult daycare and homemaker services. Services are limited to low-income elderly and disabled adults.
