Three individuals were sentenced in federal court on Tuesday to three years of probation for their participation in the peaceful protest of a Tennessee abortion clinic in 2021.

James Zastrow, Eva Zastrow, and Paul Place were found guilty of several misdemeanor violations in conjunction with the protest of the Carafem abortion center in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee on March 5, 2021.

The trio was ordered to serve the first 90 days of the three-year sentence under home detention.

They were part of a total of 11 individuals who were convicted for participating in the protest.

6 of those individuals were found guilty of more serious charges, including felony conspiracy charges for helping to organize the protest.

Four were sentenced earlier this month, resulting in sentences ranging from 6 months in prison to 3 years of probation.

The organizers were accused of using social media to promote the protest, as well as livestream from the event in an attempt to keep the clinic from being able to perform abortions.

Some were arrested on the day of the event, while others were arrested later after the FBI called them “telling them they had arrest warrants and had to turn themselves in.”

Sentencing for three other participants – Eva Edl, Heather Idoni, and Chester Gallagher – has been postponed because they are preparing to defend themselves against similar charges in Michigan in August.

  1. The District Attorney who pressed charges against these citizens and the judge who did not throw the charges out should both be removed from public service, never to serve in this state again. We need to obtain the name of the judge which is not hard since the matter is public record and one just has to go to the courthouse and request to see the file for that country. Then share the name, department number and clerk’s name. A public campaign to expose these commies can be launched and that will deter other judges from making the same mistake. Check the record of both individuals towards real criminals and expose their reords.

  2. What a load of Garbage! It’s fine to MURDER the unborn, But protest carrying a sign and you are public enemy number one.
