Wilson County School Board Member Charged With Indecent Exposure

A Wilson County School Board member has been charged with two counts of sexual indecent exposure.

According to the Lebanon Police Department spokesperson Zach Patton, 51-year-old Donnell “Donnie” Self was charged on Tuesday morning after he turned himself him.

“The Lebanon Police Department can confirm we responded to an incident involving 51-year-old Donnell Self of Lebanon. No additional details will be released at this time to uphold the integrity of our ongoing investigation,” stated the department.

He was released later that morning on a $1500 bond.

Self represents Zone 5, which covers Adult High School, Carroll-Oakland Elementary School, Lebanon High School, and Tuckers Crossroads Elementary School.

Wilson County Schools released the following statement:

“We are aware of the charges made against Zone 5 Board of Education member Mr. Donnie Self. Since this is a new and ongoing legal matter involving a publicly elected official who serves WCS, we will not be making any statements.”
