Authorities confirmed that two bodies were found last week in Unicoi County.

On Wednesday, the body of 29-year-old Rosa Maria Andrade Reynoso was found in a debris field near Interstate 26 by a contractor. Reynoso was the last Impact Plastics employee listed as missing after floodwaters from Hurricane Helene rushed through the area.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and OSHA are continuing to investigate what took place at the Impact Plastics plant on the day the hurricane hit, leaving six people dead.

In addition to Reynoso, Monica Hernandez, Bertha Mendoza, Johnny Peterson, Lidia Verdugo, and Sibrina Barnett died after allegedly being forced to stay at work until conditions were too bad for them to make it out safely.

According to Unicoi County Chief Deputy Frank Rogers, another body was found on Thursday, but he says no other Unicoi County residents are known to be missing. Police are awaiting forensic results in hopes of identifying the individual.
