The Tennessee Conservative [By Jason Vaughn] –
Four bills are scheduled to be heard in subcommittees and committees next week that seek to make Tennessee a more inhospitable place for illegal aliens and to block illegal immigrant and foreign influence on our elections.
Many good bills die in subcommittees and committees before they ever make it to the floor for a vote. We saw this happen during last year’s General Assembly sessions. If you support any or all of these bills, be sure to contact the Republican subcommittee members (who hold the supermajority vote) listed below to voice your support before their meetings next Tuesday and Wednesday.
#1 Denying Taxpayer-Funded Education To Illegal Aliens
House Bill 1648 (HB1648) sponsored by Representative Bruce Griffey (R-Paris-District 75) focuses on making Tennessee a less hospitable place for illegal aliens by denying their access to free, TN taxpayer-funded education.
The bill, if passed, would authorize a Local Education Agency (LEAs) or public charter school to enroll, or deny enrollment to, students who are unlawfully present in the United States.
HB1648 would eliminate state education funding for students who are unlawfully present in the United State and would require LEAs and public charter schools that enroll students who are unlawfully present in the United States to bear sole financial responsibility for their education.
The bill has been placed on the calendar for the House K-12 Subcommittee for Tuesday, February 22nd. The subcommittee previously heard the bill on February 8th but deferred any action until the 22nd.

#3 Stopping Illegal Aliens From Voting In Tennessee
House Bill 2128 (HB2128), introduced by Representative John Crawford (R-Bristol/Kingsport-District 1), would prevent any person who is not a U.S. citizen from participating in any federal, state, or local election in Tennessee. It would also prohibit local governments in the state from allowing those who are not citizens to vote in any local election.
The bill also “prescribes various other mechanisms for ensuring the integrity of elections in this state.”
In addition, the bill aims to disqualify those living in Tennessee illegally from participating in court juries.
The bill, if passed by both the Tennessee House and Senate and then signed by Governor Lee will go into effect immediately.

I hope all these proposals pass.
Pass them ALL!
Emails should be set up so if a person wants to contact these people supporting the bills being introduced it takes just a click, fill in your name and address and send. Most sites are set up like that if they want people to contact the reps. Almost impossible for a person to contact all these reps for each of these bills.
