Tennessee Conservative News Staff –
A ranking recently released by nutrition brand Juice Plus+ places Tennessee in the ten worst states when it comes to childhood nutrition.
Scoring only 44 points out of 100 possible, Tennessee comes in at number 43 out of 50 and is rated 16% below the national average.

The ranking took six categories into consideration: fruit and vegetable consumption, sugary drink consumption, access to nutritional food, food insecurity, and child poverty among children ages 1-5.
The study states that seven out of ten children in that age range have at least one sugary drink per week. This is 26% higher than the national average.
With 18.1% of children under 5 reportedly living in poverty in Tennessee, the study reports that 66% eat fruit daily and 48% eat vegetables daily.
All of the states falling into the bottom ten are located in the South: West Virginia, South Carolina, and Tennessee (all with 44 points out of 100), Florida (41 points), Alabama (40 points), Oklahoma (35 points), Texas (31 points), Arkansas (28 points), Louisiana (26 points), and Mississippi (21 points).

Juice plus…. Hhhmmmmm. I go to their site and look up the FAQs section.
Very first FAQ, How do I track my shipment? Also, How do I cancel my subscription?
I looked around and appears to be another “group of experts.” They have an 800 number and a 901 area code number..Memphis based.
Again, very leery of yet another group of experts bashing certain states.
Tennesseans do love their poison.
From observation over the years, I have noticed that children are being fed sugar daily on a level that seems to be intentional. Children should not be eating prepared foods, sugary cereals, cookies, packaged snacks, soft drinks, etc. This is why the attention span is short, the kids are obese and diabetic, and they are not supported in getting out for exercise. They see commercials for food that should not even exist and their parents give it to them to keep them quiet, much like phones, computer and video games and other brain-numbing garbage. Perhaps people should a good look at the revised and credible food pyramid by RFK, Jr. Fruit, vegetables, grains, protein, milk, water is what kids should be eating, NOT LITTLE DEBBIE garbage and carbohydrate-rich school lunches.
