Christians have been told by the local mainstream media – and sadly even from behind the pulpit – that they should “stay in their lane.”
They’ve been fed the lie that Christians shouldn’t engage in policy or government. That we should just get in our “holy huddle” every Sunday and keep our mounts shut and our hands clean.
I’m here to tell you two things:
#1 – It Ain’t Biblical: The Scriptures are replete with prophets, apostles, disciples and even our God speaking out on cultural issues, most often rebuking the populous unapologetically and calling for repentance. In fact, it seems to be God’s standard operating procedure.
#2 It’s Why We’re in this Mess: Church leaders have been bribed to keep their mouths shuts. Whether that bribe comes through a tax-exempt status or concerns about losing members if scriptural truths are taught from the pulpit.
As believers have pulled back from culture and politics, our nation has seen a steady decline in high-functioning nuclear families, educational outcomes, healthy morals and pride for our Christian nation.
And that decline can be seen plainly at the state and local level, where you feel the impact the most. Our “Conservative Christian” politicians campaign one way, then vote another – often with zero accountability.
Most people don’t even know it’s happening!
Luckily, even a small group of dedicated, informed and equipped Conservatives can make a huge difference at the state level. Recent events in Hamilton County have proven that beyond a shadow of a doubt.
It’s is my deeply held opinion that Christians all across Tennessee should make this a reality… and I’m committed to playing my small part.

Please join us for our next Civics + Culture Event: “Revitalizing Chattanooga and Hamilton County Through Grassroots Activism” featuring special guests House Representative Michelle Reneau, CEO of Tennessee Conservative Brandon Lewis, and our very own Anne Lowery, Secretary of the Hamilton County Republican Party.
We live in one of the most incredible cities in the United States, but unfortunately over the past few decades, we have seen the political left grow in their influence both politically and culturally. The days when we hope that politicians or someone else will “fix” these issues are over. We the people have the ability to bring our voice to addresses these problems through unified grassroots activism. This class will serve as a blueprint for you to do your part. We believe true Biblical conservatism will once again be a part of our community but that will only happen when we all see ourselves as part of the solution.
