BLEXIT Tennessee has launched its latest community outreach event aimed at giving back to fellow Chattanoogans in need.
The nonprofit organization will host an Open Mic Food and Clothing Drive on September 25, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the rooftop of the Garage Lofts on 17th and Cowart streets in the Southside Historic District.
Guests will enjoy live entertainment, food and guest speakers. Attendees are encouraged to donate nonperishable food and clothing.
“We encourage our local community members to come out, enjoy a great time and help do their part in taking care of Tennessee,” says Dominick McGee, state director for BLEXIT Tennessee.
BLEXIT TN leaders are also going to get active in their communities by volunteering for upcoming local community events to “exemplify BLEXIT values on and off the clock.”
BLEXIT TN Media Director, Autumn Simmons will be volunteering with Mosiac Church in Clarksville on September 19th.
BLEXIT TN Director of Outreach & Partnerships, Fallon Clark will be volunteering at Chattanooga’s 2021 food drive this month (September).
BLEXIT TN Advisor, Karah Emm will be volunteering at her school’s food drive this month (September).
