The Tennessee Conservative [By David Seal] –
Empowered Sevier will connect local voters with 38 republican and conservative candidates that are running for a variety of public offices on Thursday April 9th from 6 to 8 PM.
The Candidate Convention will be held at the Sevierville Civic Center, 200 Gary Wade Blvd, Sevierville, Tennessee. Kelli O’Connor, the event organizer, has a reputation of promoting grassroots events to advance conservative policies as well as holding elected officials accountable for their actions, a reputation that she has earned by connecting grassroots activists over the past 6 years.
O’Connor provided the following commentary for this report.
“On Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Sevierville Civic Center, Empowered Sevier will be hosting 38 Republican and conservative Independent candidates for office. The 2 democrats running in the county were not invited. The event will be a free, family-friendly event for the community. This is set up as a mass “meet and greet” style event so voters will get the chance to have face-to-face, one-on-one conversations with the candidates and ask them the questions that are important to them. Empowered Sevier hosted this in 2022, and an estimated 250 community members come thru the event. Empowered Sevier will be providing voter information, such as helping citizens find out what their district number for the various positions are and concluding the night with a straw poll. We will have free finger food for attendees as well!” – said Kelli O’Connor, Founder, Empowered Sevier
