A former Sequatchie County athletic trainer is now facing charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and bestiality following an investigation involving accusations of inappropriate online contact with a student.
A police affidavit shows that David Brent Oliver of Sparta allowed an investigator to search data downloaded from his phone.
The data contained images of animated child pornography, along with photographs of Oliver engaged in sexual activity with a dog and of others engaged in similar activities with farm animals.
The investigation originally began when a report was made to local law enforcement and the Department of Children’s Services, alleging that Oliver had been involved in inappropriate online interaction with a student.
Oliver is now facing charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual activity with animals. He was jailed on a $50,000 bond last month.
