The Tennessee Conservative [By Jason Vaughn] –

The Federal Bureau of Investigation provided training for law enforcement officials and police officers in East Tennessee to discuss threats within their communities.

According to FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Joel Feaster, the meeting was part of a national effort by the FBI to gather best practices on how to prepare law enforcement officers, mental health workers, and school officials to better deal with potential threats.

The ultimate goal was to determine the chain of contact when a threat is uncovered, so groups are able to work together more efficiently to deal with the issue.

“Whenever we have mass casualty incidents, school shootings or church shootings, incidents like this around the country, what we’ve learned is that there were red flags presented, and whether a law enforcement agency knew about it or not is kind of irrelevant,” Feaster told WATE. “There were red flags and that’s really what this conversation is covering is identifying those red flags and then working as law enforcement to mitigate that threat.”

Feaster noted that law enforcement may not always notice the signs prior to a situation happening, however, people who are close to the individual might be more likely to pick up on those signs.

Event speakers told attendees to watch for the following indicators:

  • Attempting to radicalize others into violence
  • Changing vocabulary and behavior to reflect a hardened point of view
  • Isolating oneself from family and peers
  • Seeking privacy
  • Experiencing significant personal loss or humiliation – either real or perceived
  • Producing, promoting or extensively consuming violent extremist content
  • A fascination with previous active shootings or mass attacks.

Feaster noted that it is imperative that anyone recognizing these signs gets in contact with law enforcement and notifies them of the potential situation. Doing so could provide necessary time to defuse issues.

  1. An excellent idea.
People should work with law enforcement rather than against them
The Wall Between Law Enforcement and Civilians was created a long time ago by the politicians of California and their 9th Circuit Court.
The Media has helped to keep this destructive Wall in place.
Despite what the Media States, the FBI, TBI and Local LEO’s are the good guys.

    1. Why do you say the FBI are the good guys? They clearly want to harm conservatives.

      1. East Tennessee groups should be taught by someone how to recognize threats from the Famous But Incompetent goons.

  2. I notice they left the most important part of the training off the list. I’m sure the DOJ has decided the order of training will be to find out if a person is Republican or Independent. That’s the first ones they go after.

  3. I don’t trust the FBI. They spend too much time calling conservatives “White Supremacists” and calling parents Domestic Terrorists and trying to find reasons to arrest conservatives. I think the FBI needs to be fired and replaced with people who aren’t political. They protected Hunter for 4 years and sat on the evidence and try to impede investigation.

  4. Everyone is a domestic terrorist extremist who believes abortion is wrong from conception, that the election was rigged, and that people have an unfettered constitutional right to bear arms.

So if everyone who is conservative is considered a DTE by FBI/DHS, maybe the FBI and DHS are no longer of service and should abolished

  5. Every government agency is political.
Remember they need funding from politicians.
All of these concerns are valid.
The broad sword we want is not a practical answer, we will end up with the same ppl with different titles.
Honestly I don’t have the answers, just thoughts.
FBIs main goal was supposed to be investigation thru to criminal charges and conviction.
    Build a case.
    Headlines.
Since Hoover it has had corrupt management.
DHS really needs to be abolished. I think most of what they do is unconstitutional
Their paramilitary services can be folded into the military branches.
During all the reshuffling anyone with 15 yrs or more should be issued early retirement, not an option.
    No extra incentives.
GS ratings are a reasonable tracking system.
The change must involve removing time-in-grade incentives and promotions replaced solely by 24 month merit reviews.
Current salary scale needs to be reduced by 7-9%.
Remove lifetime retirement benefits and paid healthcare and government employee unions going forward.
    PERIOD.
If I can plan my retirement, so can they.
All federal government employment must start with ethics and constitutional training.
    Regardless of education.
End when they can’t do the job.
    Just like me.
Our greatest stumbling blocks are congress.
How many members have the courage to see this thru?
2023 will end with some honest and courageous senators like Grassley retiring.
    He’s earned it.

    Otherwise why bother.
