The Tennessee Conservative [By Olivia Lupia] –
Last month, former NFL quarterback and philanthropist Tim Tebow visited a Tennessee correctional facility to bring a message of hope and faith to over 300 inmates.
The event was organized by Tennessee prison ministry Men of Valor in their mission of “Reconciling men to God, their families, and society”, and included worship music performed by the inmate house band before Tebow spoke on “hope, perseverance, and the potential for positive change.”

One inmate who attended the event said he, “thought it was really inspirational, and I believe it was definitely God-felt and that God led Tim Tebow to speak. I believe he is doing God’s work. Hopefully, God willing, I will be able to do the same thing. The Snickers candy bar and Gatorade were not bad either.”
Tebow said he was “humbled to share the Gospel and the hope of Jesus,” and hoped attendees left with strengthened faith and purpose.
Aside from his football career, Tebow is an outspoken Christian known for his philanthropic work through the Tim Tebow Foundation which focuses on combatting human trafficking and child exploitation, orphan care, profound medical needs, and special needs ministry.
The organization’s annual prom for special needs and disabled children, Night to Shine, often sees video clips of the red carpet walk and dance go viral for their heartwarming moments and celebration of those who do not often get to attend such events.
“At Night to Shine, I’ve seen what just one moment of love can do. It’s not about the red carpet or the crowns. It’s about someone finally realizing, maybe for the first time, they’ve always had worth. Why? Because they’re made in the image of God,” Tebow wrote of this year’s event.

He also testified last year before the House Judiciary Committee on behalf of child sexual abuse victims to encourage Congress to support a bill which would have helped create and fund a large rescue team to recover abused and trafficked children.
The Renewed Hope Act of 2024 was read twice and referred to the Committee of Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs but has seen no action since.
