A former Tennessee principal and school teacher is now featured on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s most wanted list for violating his bond after being charged with a number of sex crimes against children.

Jonathan Ullrich, who once served as a teacher in both Maury and Williamson Counties and as principal of Longview Elementary School, was indicted in December 2022 on 21 charges, including rape of a child, aggravated sexual battery, rape, incest, and especially aggravated exploitation of a minor.

He was released on a $350,000 bond.

In April 2023, law enforcement officials found that Ullrich had removed his GPS monitoring device and left it in his home. Along with the device, they found a note that read, “I can’t do this anymore.”

Other letters found in the home mentioned a number of locations to which Ullrich might have fled, but police have not been able to locate him.

The district attorney’s office revoked Ullrich’s bond, and an order has been issued for his arrest.

Previously released statements have noted that he is considered armed and dangerous. It has also been said that Ullrich has made statements that indicate that he could potentially be suicidal and violent.

When Ullrich was first served with an order of protection in relation to the current charges, he closed himself off in his home for several hours. He also unsuccessfully attempted to purchase a gun.

The TBI is offering a reward of $2,500 for information that leads to his arrest. Anyone with information can call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
