Goodrich for Washington County GOP –  Revive 25

On February 4th, at the Johnson City University Parkway Baptist Church, Danielle Goodrich announced her intent to run for Chairwoman of the Washington County GOP. 

The Washington County Republican Party will hold a reorganization meeting on March 29th, 9am, at the Boones Creek Middle School. New leaders will be elected.  

This process occurs every two years. Bonafide Republicans, or those who have voted in at least 3 of the 4 most recent Washington county Republican state primaries, are eligible to participate in the election. 

For voters who have recently moved here from another county, or another state, they will need to contact their former election commission and obtain their voting records prior to the March 29th meeting.  Pre-registration is recommended at the website www.tngop.org.

Goodrich, identifying as a Christian, constitutional-conservative said, “I want to hand down freedom to my children to do the same.”  As Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same..”

Goodrich went on to say, “We may have just gotten Trump in, but it took decades of misunderstanding the principles of liberty to get us to where we are. We have a lot of work to do. And I have already been hard at work doing it.”

And that she has, Goodrich founded East TN Freedom during COVID, an organization whose mission is to “Uphold God-given rights through education and advocacy,” with the motto, John 8:32 “and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”

Goodrich said she became a Republican because of the Republican principles which uphold liberty and stand against communism. 

She listed some of these principles:

-upholding the Constitution as binding and inflexible

-standing for limited government

-standing against unelected, unaccountable government

-fiscal conservatism

Goodrich went on to say that current Republican leadership is not upholding these principles. 

She pointed to a recent statement by Tennessee Firearm Association, John Harris.

Harris said, “The Establishment Republicans have controlled Tennessee and the Legislature since 2010.  In that period, they have doubled the tax burden on Tennesseans from approximately $28 billion per year to more than $53 billion per year today.  They have managed to engage in this massive growth of expenses and state government with brilliant choices like approximately a billion to Ford to build electric vehicles, wasteful funding of a new Titans stadium..”

Goodrich said Republican leaders in Tennessee, instead of upholding Republican principle, are doing the opposite; they are;

-creating welfare and entitlement programs

-growing government authority

-being fiscally irresponsible

-creating monopolies of healthcare and education

-ignoring the Constitution

-spending our tax dollars on private corporations

-accepting Federal funding with state sovereignty eroding strings

Goodrich says she wants to “Make Republicans, Republican Again” by encouraging Republicans to follow the principles, instead of following politicians.

She said, “I want to put a stake in the ground and say we aren’t moving an inch, because this is where liberty lives.”

Goodrich listed out her goals for the Revive 25 Team.

She said, “We look to have transparency with the county GOP budget and how it’s spent and what candidates it’s spent on. When you donate to the Washington county Republican Party, under my leadership, you will get to see how your money was spent. We will be the DOGE of Washington county.”

Goodrich wants to improve communications, have more meetings, and grow the party to reach all area Republicans.

Martha Davenport, a Republican at the meeting said, “under the current leadership the Democrats are gaining ground. We need to get out of apathy and into action and I think Danielle and Revive 25 can make this happen.”

Goodrich has been

-Holding Constitution classes and Patriot Academy classes 

-Teaching Republican Principles 

-Holding Q and As with candidates 

-Helping with area church voter guides 

-Hosting Constitutional Speakers

-Organizing Pollwatchers and Election Integrity Teams for the Republican Party 

-Sending communications to support liberty upholding policy and stand against infringing policy

– Helping to clean voter rolls 

-Helping Conservative candidates 

She said, “please turn out and vote for me. I’ve been doing the job. Please elect me the title.”

  1. And on March 4th two slate of candidates will be vying to govern the Williamson County Republican Party during its reorganization convention to be held at The Factory on Franklin Road. The tepid conservative establishment is trying to wrest control of the county party from the current solid conservative administration. Curiously, the tepid conservatives have wisely chosen to co-opt the word “conservative’ as their slate is running as the “Williamson County Conservatives”. Five of the current 8 solid conservative administration along with three carefully vetted newcomers are running under the banner “ELEVATE 2025.” All Williamson County conservatives are urged to attend the county reorganization convention and vote ELEVATE 2025.
