By Meteorologist Mark Baldwin –
The remnants of “Ida” are moving out and that means drier air will begin moving into the state today. Before the drier air can completely take hold, we’ll dodge a few showers and thunderstorms. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy today, keeping temperatures cooler than they would otherwise be.
By the overnight hours, skies will be clear and starry. Pleasant overnight lows will fall to near 60 degrees.
A sunny Thursday is on tap for the Volunteer state! Even with all that August sunshine, afternoon temps will still be quite pleasant for this time of year.
