An illegal alien wanted for questioning regarding a homicide in Maryland was arrested last Friday in Nashville.

The Prince George County Police Department (PGCPD) in Maryland contacted the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Division on Friday, stating that Carlos Manuel Medrano Medrano was wanted for questioning and was possibly in the Nashville area.

MNPD detectives were able to locate the suspect, and while interviewing him, they obtained enough information to allow PGCPD to obtain a warrant for his arrest on charges of criminal homicide.

According to a police affidavit, the warrant was for full extradition.

21-year-old Medrano was arrested on August 29 and was booked into the Davidson County Jail on charges of being a fugitive from justice. He was given a $250,000 bail.

Records now show that Medrano has an immigration detainer hold.

An ICE detainer most likely means Medrano is in the country illegally.
