***Update 10.3.22 – Last week, we reported that Harpeth Hall’s new gender diversity policy would allow applications from individuals who identify as females, regardless of their biological sex. However, new information has surfaced that proves this is not the case. The new gender diversity statement differs from the previous on in the construction and phrasing of one sentence. The previous statement read, “Any student who identifies as a girl may apply to our school.” The newly adopted statement reads, “Any girl or young woman may apply to our school in accordance with past practices.” The article below has been updated to reflect this update.***

The Tennessee Conservative [By Jason Vaughn]-
Last month, The Tennessee Conservative reported that a Nashville elite all-girls school, Harpeth Hall, was planning to enact a new policy to allow applications from individuals who identify as females, regardless of their biological sex.
After significant pushback from the community, the school decided to “pause” on the enactment of their new ‘Gender Diversity Policy’ that was created by the school’s Board of Trustees at the request of school leadership.
On Friday, the school officially adopted a slightly altered version of the policy.
After more than a month’s pause, during which the school states that they heard from experts on the topic, reviewed and shared “educational” articles and consulted with some of the girls at the school, the new gender guidelines are now official.
In a letter, the school stated that the following guidelines have now been adopted:
“Any girl or young woman may apply to our school in accordance with past practices. Students who join and remain at Harpeth Hall do so because our mission as a school for girls resonates with them.
Harpeth Hall acknowledges the developmental journey of each student and recognizes that adolescence includes natural searching and questioning about many topics. For some students, this may include the question of gender identity and the desire to identify as nonbinary or use they/them pronouns. Harpeth Hall approaches gender identity with understanding and open communication, rather than with shame or othering, and will provide a safe environment to partner with each student and family to consider the needs and requests of the student on an individual basis
If a student communicates a desire to be identified as male or adopt he/him pronouns, we recognize that our school, being a girls school, may no longer be a place that serves that student well. We see this acknowledgment as the ultimate form of respect: an understanding that we support the individual and the student’s gender identity. Harpeth Hall administration will work thoughtfully with the student and family to evaluate next steps.”
Following the initial letter sent out to parents regarding the school’s decision to allow boys who identify as girls into the school, parents showed strong opposition, citing concerns for their daughters’ safety and for the integrity of the elite all-girls’ school that had notable alumni such as actress Reese Witherspoon, singer Amy Grant, and comedian and Grand Ole Opry regular Minnie Pearl.
The story was picked up by Conservative media and the school decided to pause the adoption of the statement. According to the school, the administration and board have been working on a gender diversity policy for years.
After the publication of our first article regarding the statement made by the school and the “pause” on the policy , a Tennessee Conservative subscriber warned that citizens should not become complacent by this small victory.
The subscriber said, “Our community is very aware of how liberal the school has become. It is a story in itself…a stealth takeover to the point where a teacher who has a pro life license plate was told to remove it. He chose to quit instead. He may have been the last holdout. There are NO conservatives and NO tolerance, with students even receiving lower grades when turning in work with conservative values or viewpoints. Nothing Christian. Very few real minorities. The Spanish teacher is not Hispanic. When challenged they said they could find no qualified applicants!!! There’s more. Anyway, they plan to roll this out for sure.”

Simple solution. Pull your girls out. Either enroll them in a Charter School or even, heaven forbid, a mainstream school. Their safer where boys are boys and girls are girls. I doubt very much there’ll be enough transgenders to fill the seats. My choice, if I got to choose. would be a Charter School. My granddaughter graduated from on in Chattanooga and now does very well in life. If the school has any of your money, demand a refund. If they refuse, get a few other together and file a class action suit. A lawyer worth the title will win.
Just like with our liberal colleges, why do parents continue to dole out money to these cesspools that do nothing but undermine their values? If parents REALLY cared about values and conservatism, they’d simply pull their kids out. Maybe they’re actually more concerned that their kids attend the same school that an actress attended than they are about values.
Another reason why we moved to East Tennessee and not near Nashville. Those liberals over there are NUTS!!!
Also the reason why we will not visit Nashville or Memphis any longer, but rather stay in East TN. Their loss; we used to take a lot of visitors there and spend a decent chuck of change, but no longer.
If I was a high school age boy I would be all over this. A bunch of horny high school girls and you are the only boy, until others jump on the bandwagon? You liberal parents wouldn’t have a problem with that, would you? If you do you are racist!!
As stated by others, we vote with our dollars. Simply pull your daughters out. Or keep them there and pay the price. We moved to a very conservative area in middle TN and we are actively helping to keep this part of TN a safe place for children based on biblical values.
Wait until he walks around naked in the locker room and/ or beats the best female athlete at her sport. This may get interesting.
All this stupidity from lucifer’s “higher”(than God) “education”.
