Three Nashville men, ages 28 to 51 have been charged with trafficking for a commercial sex act. They were taken into custody on Wednesday, October 6th and booked into the Metro Jail.

Kendall Kendrick, 28, Gabriel Soto, 33, and Arthur Burnett, 51 are facing felony charges after responding to an online ad and making contact with an officer posing as a 16 year old.

Police report that the men each made their way to a Davidson County hotel where they gave money for sex to the undercover officer. They were arrested at the hotel and each had a $20,000 bond set.

In September, two different operations resulted in eleven West Tennessee men and seven Middle Tennessee men also being arrested under similar circumstances.

According to Rest Stop Ministries in Hermitage, TN, 94 minors are trafficked every month in Tennessee, a total of 1,128 a year. A 2011 TBI report concluded that every county in Tennessee has seen cases of sex trafficking.

While Tennessee has some of the strongest laws against sex trafficking in the nation, it is important that Tennesseans become aware of what sex trafficking is and how they can help in the fight against it. TBI has a website dedicated to providing education and resources to Tennesseans on this topic.
