The Tennessee Conservative Staff-
Metro Nashville police report that two men released on bond were arrested again last Wednesday and are charged with several new crimes.
According to MNPD, 23-year-old Acuma Juma was arrested in October on felony charges of gun and marijuana possession. He had been released on a $70,000 bond.
Juma was arrested last week after police caught him driving a stolen vehicle and then found a modified fully automatic pistol hidden under the seat.
Police also say Juma allegedly had a baggie filled with oxycodone pills and over $2200 in cash. They then found a backpack with additional pills, crystal meth, cocaine, and crack cocaine in the stolen Infiniti Q50.
Juma remains in jail in lieu of a $192,000 bond and faces a number of drug, gun, and theft charges.
Police also arrested the passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Deng Akok, charging him with several drug and theft charges and trespassing.
Police records show that Akok had been arrested in October on felony cocaine and gun charges and was out on a $23,000 bond. He is now in jail with a $157,000 bond.
MNPD stated, “The arrests of Juma and Akok came as Vehicle Crimes detectives were conducting surveillance on a stolen Nissan Maxima parked at a Hobson Pike apartment complex. Juma and Akok arrived in the stolen Infiniti, after which the driver of the Maxima, Samuel Andrew, 24, left that car and joined them.”
All three were arrested. Andrew is also charged with two counts of vehicle theft, drug possession, and criminal trespassing. He was given a $38,000 bond.
