On April 28 the Chattanooga City Council voted in favor of Mayor Tim Kelly’s plan to transform our beautiful Scenic City into a surveillance monitored “Smart City” by enacting the Climate Action Plan (CAP). The CAP is full of surprises that will definitely increase costs, stymie new road infrastructure, change zoning, building codes and more.
Glenda Pappu, Dean McGhan and Harriette Reid representing NoogaVoices, a nonpartisan grassroots organization of concerned citizens, would like to inform you of what’s in store, not just for Chattanooga and all of Hamilton County, but eventually all of Tennessee.
We would like to invite you to attend our Citizen’s Town Hall on June 8, 2023, at 6:30 pm. The town hall will be held at the Calvary Chapel on 3415 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN. Additional town hall meetings will be held in Collegedale and Hixson in the next two months.
These are must-attend meetings that will not only be informative and educational but will offer possible solutions to hopefully prevent Tennesseans from giving up our privacy and personal information. Help us preserve the Scenic City of Chattanooga before it’s too late.

If I had known that Tim Kelly was going to participate in such hare brained ideas, he would never have gotten my vote! I’m tired of our elected officials trying to make the decisions for us on such unproven science. Man caused “Climate Change” is still not proven, and there are too much data that refutes it. Step back and don’t do something like this to all our detriment.

Mayor Tim Kelly sounds like a Leftist. One tip-off is that he claims to be an “independent”. Also, Wikipedia says he “majored in German Comparative Literature at Columbia University”. A privileged guy who went to an ultra-liberal college and got a worthless degree. It says his family owned auto dealerships.
NoogaVoices is far too polite and indirect – they should say what they mean in a clear way that people easily understand. The “smart thermostats” let the power company control your temperature – not you – and they can monitor you – it is like “Big Brother” living with you. The zoning changes will be “no single family homes”. Chattanooga will become like L.A. and San Fran. My county (Williamson) will NOT approve that nonsense.
Also – people in Chatt need to vote – Kelly only got 15,966 votes – that’s pathetic.
If Mayor Kelly studied German at a Liberal University, interesting, he can communicate easily with Claus Swaub of the World Economic Forum and the heads of Volkswagen here in Chattanooga. Interesting, but deceptive and Demonic!

This is ignorant. Electric vehicles get their energy from a Power Station. Fossil fueled ones are the best. Nuclear plants are good, but the nuclear waste is an issue. Solar panels ARE BLACK AND CAUSE global warming. Wind farms take kinetic energy out of the air, reducing heat in the atmosphere. Also EVs only make sense in a city IF there is sufficient charging stations.
Now if you run out of gas in the country, a person can get a can of gas to you, and you are good to go. They cannot bring a battery so you leave the car so someone can steal it. Also, the mayor is killing the jobs of filling stations, but he is rich and does not care about working people.
