The Tennessee Conservative [By Paula Gomes] –
An outspoken LGBTQ rights activist has been appointed to the Metro Arts Commission as its new Executive Director.
In his previous position as Executive Director of McLean Community Center in McLean, VA, Daniel Singh’s “commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion” led to a Drag StoryBook Hour at a Fairfax County Public Library within the first 90 days of his appointment.
The McLean Community Center sponsored the in-person event in June, 2021 which was open to all ages.
The three “entertainers” who were paid with taxpayer dollars to show up at Dolley Madison Library were a “Drag King” and teacher named Majik Dyke, a “non-binary transgender woman” named Persephone Rose, and sari-wearing, bearded “KaMani Sutra.”
The library also hosted a virtual “Rainbow Families Storytime” the same month targeted at 2-7 year olds, and an open mic night for teens to “celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month.”
According to a McLean resident who attended the storytime with his toddlers, Singh has a reciprocal relationship with a consulting firm that he brought in at large expense to work on a strategic plan for the community center in McLean.
This same company consulted with New Spire Arts in Frederick, MD, and worked with a national executive recruitment firm which led to Singh being selected as the Executive Director for New Spire Arts in 2017.
Singh was later fired from New Spire Arts after leading the nonprofit for just over a year.
Singh’s work history shows a series of positions that average a year in each location. After New Spire Arts he worked for a year as Activation Manager at Montgomery Parks, MD, then a year as Senior Manager of Tourism and Cultural Arts in Baltimore County, MD, before landing the position in McLean which lasted 15 months.
Singh recently completed the Government Alliance for Racial Equity (GARE) training program. GARE, a joint project of the New Race Forward, and the Othering and Belonging Institute, is a national network of government “working to achieve racial equity and advance opportunities for all.”
Mayor John Cooper gave Singh a warm welcome to “the Athens of the South” saying that with Singh’s leadership of Metro Arts, he will help “create a Nashville that works for everyone.”
Chair of the Metro Arts Commission, Matia Powell, said that Singh’s “ability to engage diverse communities and operationalize equity-centered practices and processes, particularly in the government sector” is one of Singh’s strengths. “Singh is also a passionate arts advocate who envisions partnerships in education, social justice, technology, and other fields to address system-level inequities,” said Powell.

All Public and tax dollars should be pulled from this Metro Arts WOKE Garbage.
I SO AGREE but this is what you get when you elect a DEMOCRTA MAYOR .
All I can say is these people need to read the Bible. It is fact not fiction and it tells what the future holds and about the times we live in. I would suggest that they read Romans chapter 1 verses 18 through 32. It tells what will happen to these people. Not my words but Gods words.
The State of the World
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
In God we trust not government or man.
Have a blessed day.
