There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms across the state today. Some of these storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds and small hail being the main threats. Â
Shower and thunderstorm chances are greatest across the central and eastern portions of the state tonight, as activity ends from west to east. An isolated storm could be on the strong to severe side, with a damaging wind gust being the main threat.
Skies will be sunniest across West Tennessee, with clouds and fog being slow to exit the Midstate. Along the plateau and throughout East Tennessee, those clouds may produce some isolated showers and storms through the evening.
