Some Of These Bills Seek To Aggregate The Rights Of Tennesseans And Some Of Them Seek To Even Enlarge The Use Of Federal Medicaid Spending, Thereby Expanding Our Entanglements With The Federal Government. I Fear That No Matter How Well Intentioned This Extraordinary Session May Be, It Was Ill-Conceived. For Reasons Stated Herein, I Make A Motion To Adjourn.”

Representative Richey Tries To Adjourn Tennessee Special Session

Although A Vote To Adjourn Did Not Go Anywhere In The House Of Representatives, The Call Did Not Go Unheard. Rep Richey Attempted To End The Special Session With A Resolution That Was Not Picked Up. The House Voted On Whether To Suspend The Rules To Allow Richey’s Resolution To Be Heard And Voted On. Only Six Members Voted To Suspend The Rules To Allow It To Be Considered.
