Patchy morning fog will be followed by partly to mostly sunny Tennessee skies today. Afternoon highs near 100 degrees for the Memphis area have prompted the issuance of heat advisories there. Elsewhere across the state, look for hot afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s. The best chance for an isolated afternoon thunderstorm will be across the Cumberland Plateau and East Tennessee.

A late evening shower is possible across the easternmost portion of the state. Otherwise, look for mostly clear skies across the area tonight, with overnight lows in the low to mid 70s. Be mindful of patchy dense fog that may develop.

Another hot day is in store for the state on Thursday. Increased humidity levels will lead to about a 50% chance for an afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm. Afternoon high temps should climb into the low to mid 90s, but high humidity levels will make it feel much hotter.
