The Tennessee Conservative [By Paula Gomes] –
Members of the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners voted 7 to 3 on Tuesday to delete a recently adopted policy from their website, but they will not rescind it.
Tennessee Representative John Ragan sent a letter last month to Dr. Melanie Blake, president of the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners. In the letter, Ragan demanded that the board remove a policy statement from its website warning physicians that they risked facing disciplinary action if they spread “misinformation” about COVID-19 vaccines.
“If you fail to act promptly, your organization will be required to appear before the Joint Government Operations Committee to explain your inaction,” wrote Ragan.
New legislation, aimed at repealing the board’s actions, was signed by Governor Bill Lee on November 12th. It prevents licensing boards from disciplining doctors for the spread of misinformation or for writing prescriptions off-label to treat COVID-19.
It appears that members voted to delete the policy solely to appease Ragan.
During the meeting on Tuesday, Dr. Melanie Blake was asked by another board member if they were voting to rescind the policy or merely remove it from the website. Blake said, “Our mission remains unchanged.”

The now deleted policy reads, “Physicians who generate and spread COVID-19 vaccine misinformation or disinformation are risking disciplinary action by state medical boards, including the suspension or revocation of their medical license. Due to their specialized knowledge and training, licensed physicians possess a high degree of public trust and therefore have a powerful platform in society, whether they recognize it or not. They also have an ethical and professional responsibility to practice medicine in the best interests of their patients and must share information that is factual, scientifically grounded and consensus-driven for the betterment of public health. Spreading inaccurate COVID-19 vaccine information contradicts that responsibility, threatens to further erode public trust in the medical profession and puts all patients at risk.”
Concerned Department of Health attorney, Grant Mullins, said he believed there was no precedent for the board maintaining a policy that was not posted anywhere on the agency’s website. He said, “I would urge the board to either rescind the policy or keep it and have the website reflect what is actually on the books.” Board members declined to follow this recommendation.
“We have not rescinded our policy,” said Dr. Phyllis Miller. “We put it on the website simply to inform our physicians and we voted only to take it off our website.”

I think that “misinformation” is the key word here. Who is determining whether or not the doctors know what they are talking about and doing? Is it fauchi, fda, cdc….? Writing prescriptions for medicine that works….sounds like a good idea to me.
Whose to say what is misinformation? Why is this mandated by some burricrat? Science is something that evolves with additional information and research. The ones dictating what is allowed in most cases are not actually seeing patients. This has to stop.
Sounds like the Board of Medical Examiners need a reality check, i.e. removal from power for starters.
If Fauci is science I am fully qualified to do brain surgery because I know where it’s supposedly located. The faux pandemic has no basis in normal science unless ‘normal’ science is funded by special interests with no concern over health but most over $$$. CDC, FDA, NIH, WHO, are totally compromised. Suggest this board be restructured and investment portfolios examined.
“misinformation”
Let’s start with March 2020, Fauci announced there was a “Pandemic” taking place, people were “Supposedly” dying all over the country.
But when the records for March 2020 was completed, it was found that 15% “FEWER” people died that March than the previous 4 Marches.
Where did Fauci learn there was a “Pandemic”, not from statistics but from a pathetic computer program written by one of the “IDIOTS” at the most Liberal Colleges in the world, “Imperial College”.
America’s “Shutdown” was all based on a “LIE”, and so has everything about this “Covid” been a lie.
I can’t blame Fauci along, most people are so ignorant they would rather believe a lie than the truth.
Lotta money to be made from ‘treating COVID’. Docs, Hospitals and Big Pharma all need new yachts — and $ to help Dems keep this gravy train going.
