Knox County law enforcement officials arrested an illegal alien this week for sexual battery.

35-year-old Agenor Perez Hernandez was arrested and booked on June 1 on felony charges of sexual battery.

He was originally given a conditional release order and was court ordered to wear a GPS device upon release.

Hernandez was scheduled to be back in court on Tuesday, June 3 for a bond hearing.

However, inmate records for Knox County now show that he has an ICE detainer. He will remain in custody until he is released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An immigration hold most likely means that Hernandez was in this county illegally.
