Knox County and Davidson County police rounded up criminal illegal aliens, including one who is charged with sex crimes against children.

18-year-old Denis C. Castillo was arrested in Knox County on July 30. Castillo is charged with solicitation of a minor/rape of a child, assault/physical contact, person under 21 being in possession of beer, and interference with emergency calls.

He is scheduled to return to court on August 5.

Knox County police also arrested 24-year-old Randy Miguel Querales Garcia on July 28 for driving on a suspended license, theft up to $1000, and failure to comply with the financial responsibility law.

In Davidson County, 30-year-old Carlos E. Aguilar-Vargas was arrested on July 29. He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with intent and assault/reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Aguilar-Vargas was previously arrested for assault with a deadly weapon in 2022, but those charges were dismissed.

All of these individuals now have immigration detainer holds.

They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

An ICE hold most likely means these individuals are in the country illegally.
