More illegal aliens were rounded up by law enforcement officials across the state last week on charges including assault with a deadly weapon, firearm theft, and being a fugitive from justice.

42-year-old Rajeshkumar R. Patel was arrested in Knox County on Wednesday, June 11.

Inmate records show that he is a fugitive from justice on felony charges.

On Thursday, June 12, 26-year-old Luis D. Hernandez was arrested in Davidson County on a total of 18 charges: no driver’s license, felony and misdemeanor weapons charges, felony and misdemeanor evading arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, 3 counts of felony possession of marijuana with intent to sell, felony possession of cocaine with intent to sell, felony possession of meth with intent to sell, theft of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon (vehicle), and 5 counts of failure to appear. He is currently jailed in the Downtown Detention Center with a bond of more than $200,000.

Records indicate that these individuals have an ICE detainer. They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An immigrant detainer most likely means they are in this country illegally.
