ICE officials in Nashville arrested an illegal alien they say was convicted of kidnapping, aggravated assault, battery, and arson.

According to a release from the Department of Homeland Security, Luis Meza-Olivera was released from jail in Trousdale on March 14. Fugitive Operations officials in New Orleans received a tip related to his whereabouts after a school official learned that his daughter was fearful that he would return to kill her mother.

Court documents show that in 2011, Meza-Olivera locked a woman inside a bathroom and lit a fire in the home while she was unable to escape. In 2015, police rescued a woman who had been hogtied and locked inside of a bedroom while her five-year-old son was locked in her bedroom closet.
