Middle Tennesseans are raising concerns over more pagan practices being either exposed or openly celebrated in middle Tennessee. One such concern is the rise of witchcraft.

A new instance causing the alarm from locals comes at the hand of The House of Ravens in Cookeville, TN celebrating its three month anniversary.

The House of Ravens describes themself as a “Metaphysical based store” that sells “Crystals, candles, incense, and so much more.” Their website also states the following:

“we provide guidance and tools to help you unlock your spiritual potential. We offer a range of services, products and events designed to help you connect with the universe and find your inner strength.”

Services found at The House of Ravens include spiritual readings, intuitive guidance, and reiki.

They have a blog on the site that’s recent posts give instructions on how to use snow for magic.

Nearly all of the book titles found in their product page include some reference to witchcraft. A few examples are Silver’s Spells, Green Magic- The sacred connection to nature, and Green Witchcraft which comes in five available volumes.

Other products include tarot cards and a shirt that simply reads “Witch.”

When discussing The House of Ravens one concerned local stated:

“I think we need to all pray them out of here. There is rush a rise in this nationwide and I hate to see a wholesome small town affected by this. But God is bigger and there is power in prayer.”

Although the rise of Witchcraft and Satanic practices in Middle Tennessee is unclear, it is quite clear that many natives in The Upper Cumberland remain skeptical and concerned.
