Press Release-
JACKSON, Tenn. – We the People of West TN will present a screening of MONUMENTAL: In Search of America’s National Treasure, the documentary hosted by actor and filmmaker Kirk Cameron, on 11-17-26 at 6-8 pm at 1027 W. Forest Jackson, TN.
The event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome.
In the film, Cameron travels across Europe and the United States to uncover what made America so free and prosperous. His journey leads to Plymouth, Massachusetts, and the National Monument to the Forefathers, which was dedicated in 1889 to honor the Pilgrims. The monument’s central figure, “Faith,” points toward heaven with one hand and holds the Bible in the other. Its design reflects five principles that shaped the nation: freedom, justice, education, morality, and religion.
“As the film puts it, ‘Sometimes the only way forward is to go back,’” “We chose this film so our community can be grounded in the faith, sacrifice, and principles on which our nation was founded,” says Londa Rohlfing, an Administrator of We the People of West TN.
Attendees can purchase a booklet on the National Monument to the Forefathers, produced by Patriot Academy, for $10. The booklet shares the story behind the monument and the Pilgrims’ unwavering commitment to faith and freedom. Quantities are limited.
We the People of West TN is a grassroots civic organization that recently marked its fifth anniversary. The group holds regular meetings the 3r Tuesday evening monthly to educate and encourage citizens in the conservative principles of the Constitution and the nation’s founding.
