Police in both Davidson and Knox Counties arrested several illegal aliens who are charged with a number of crimes, including aggravated assault, public intoxication, and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
36-year-old Fredy Mauricio Guiterrez-Paredes was arrested on Saturday, July 26 by Davidson County police.
He was charged with Aggravated Assault/Strangulation and placed in the Downtown Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.
Police arrested 45-year-old Jose Alejandro Gonzales Escobar on Sunday, July 27 on charges of driving under the influence.
He was found guilty on the misdemeanor charge on Monday, July 28.
22-year-old Anthony Zuleta was also arrested on July 27.
Zuleta is facing two counts of domestic assault and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was given a total $39,000 bond.
Knox County police arrested 25-year-old Katherine Andreina Dalfin-Pimentel on July 23. She is charged with misdemeanor domestic assault.
37-year-old Lesman Hernandez Alarez was arrested by KPD on July 27. He is facing a number of charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a handgun while under the influence, public intoxication, possession of a weapon with intent to go armed, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and evading arrest. He was booked with a $23,750 total bond.
33-year-old Esmi Cruz was also arrested on July 27. Cruz is charged with misdemeanor evading arrest. He was given a $1000 bond.
Inmate records indicate that all of these individuals now have immigrant detainers.
They will remain in custody until they are released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
An ICE hold most likely means these individuals are in the country illegally.
