A graphic from Take Back The Classroom highlights the main organizations funding literature in school libraries that parents say is pornographic.

The organizations that have given anywhere from hundreds of thousands of dollars to hundreds of millions include GLSEN Rainbow Library, Hope In A Box, Move On; Red, Wine and Blue, Planned Parenthood, National Educational Association, Scholastic, GLSEN, Every Library, and the American Library Association.

Take Back The Classroom (TBTC), a project of The Parental Rights Council and The Kitchen Table Activist, is a resource for parents advocating for the removal of questionable literature from their local schools.

The website has links to public schools in Tennessee where inappropriate books have been found.

TBTC has photos of questionable content contained in these books. One example is the book It’s Perfectly Normal by Robie H. Harris, found at Northeast Middle School in Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools.

Aimed at 10-year-olds, It’s Perfectly Normal was written by a former member of Planned Parenthood’s National Board of Advocates. The book covers the following topics: abortion, masturbation, STDs, oral and anal sex, and rape.

We are CLOSING REGISTRATION on Wednesday, September 20th. So, get your individual and table sponsor tickets NOW! Get your tickets now – before we close down the box office.

According to TBTC, the cartoon images within the book are intentionally used to lower the natural inhibitions of children regarding private and sensitive subjects. The book normalizes every form of sexual expression while avoiding any discussion of marriage and family.

TBTC says, “This book is lauded for its mention of such things as personal hygiene and changes that take place in the body during puberty, but make no mistake, It’s Perfectly Normal is yet another tool in the progressive’s nationwide effort to desensitize our children and set them on a very dangerous path of sexual experimentation before they leave elementary school.”

Adding any title to your cart and completing the checkout process sends a free digital download of the book to your email. This download shows all flagged quotes from the book that contains sexually explicit and inappropriate material. This resource can be used to challenge titles in your district without having to purchase the book.

The Take Back The Classroom website currently has lists of inappropriate books found in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, Wilson County Schools and the Jackson-Madison County School District with lists for the Williamson County School District and the Hamilton County School District coming soon.
