Chattanooga Native Helps Melania Trump Decorate Christmas White House

Chattanooga, TN – The White House recently released images of the new Christmas decorations for this year, but little does the nation know that a Chattanooga native helped set it all up.

Brandon Carruth, owner of Carruth Concepts, took to the Presidential Mansion to add his touch to the holiday décor.

Brandon has been crafting holiday decorations since his childhood, in which he would help his mother and neighbors set up their Christmas decorations.

“My mom would always put up a tree in different places around the house. My sister and I would also have a tree in our room,” he said.

The holiday decorating business, Carruth Concepts, was started by Brandon after he realized that people needed this interior and exterior design service.

Carruth Concepts services commercial and residential clients, but Brandon has taken the business to the next level with his decorating work in the White House.

2020 was not the first year that Brandon had this opportunity, as he also successfully volunteered in 2017 and 2018.

In 2017 he decorated the East Colonnade near the First Lady’s office and reception room.

In 2018, Brandon decorated the West Wing near the Oval Office.

“Yes, I managed to peek into the Oval Office. It was really surreal,” he said.

After being called to action for a third year, Brandon has made Carruth Concepts a staple in the Christmas White House.

Brandon Carruth Founded Carruth Concepts in 2016 at 23 years old.
