Monty Fritts, in just his first term representing the 32nd district of the Tennessee state, has been recognized by the Conservative Club of Tellico as Tennessee Conservative of the Year.
The Conservative Club of Tellico is a 1,500 member club located in Loudon, Tennessee.
Mr. Fritts won the election in 2022 and has been diligent in representing his constituents in Roane and Loudon County. Monty is a life-long Tennessean and graduated from Roane County High in 1982. Monty is Christian, husband, father and grandfather. He is an US Army combat veteran, a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. He is Liberty University (BS) graduate with a MBA from the University of Tennessee. He also has a MA degree in theology from Liberty University. He has worked in Oak Ridge and advanced in the nuclear industry for many years. He is also in the family’s real estate business.
People who run for public office do so for many varied reasons, but what they have in common is passion for the causes they believe in.
Monty, 60, did not want to look back on these times and think he could have done more. He hit the ground running in his second legislative session.
He has introduced and sponsored many bills that dealt with energy, parental and worker’s rights. He has also championed prayer for Tennessee and our country. His conservative values always come first.

- HB727- Parental rights opt in for activities and extracurricular materials.
- HB 786- Pathway for Veterans to receive occupational teaching licenses to fill vacancies.
- HB878- Marriage bill prevents officiant’s from being forced to solemnize a marriage.
- HB1189- Limits civil liabilities against firearms and ammo dealers, protects our 2A.
- HB1872- Enhanced penalties for criminal offenses committed by illegal aliens.
- HJR0119- Resolution to set up a State of Tennessee energy policy.
- HB2190- Enables the governor to deploy a brigade size force to the southern border.
- SJR004- Prime sponsor to recognize steadfast support for Israel.
- HJR0803- Prayer and fasting resolution for July 2024 seeking God’s hand of mercy and healing on Tennessee.
- After HJR0803 was passed and signed by Governor Lee, Monty made it his mission to have a prayer session in all 95 counties in Tennessee. His wife and he fulfilled this mission.
For his dedication to conservative values, his voting record and sponsorship of bills consistent with those values, the Conservative Club of Tellico recognized State Representative Monty Fritts as Tennessee Conservative of the year.
Conservative Club of Tellico meets every Wednesday morning at 8:30am. The meeting is at Little Italy in Tellico Village at 316 Lakeside Plaza. All are welcome for breakfast and fellowship.
